Who We Are

Alimony Denim is the brainchild of currently married designers, Nathaniel Freeman and Janoah Maglich. The brand was sparked after their first wild year of
marriage—dreamed up somewhere between their (very delayed)
honeymoon and the realization that working together might actually
end the relationship. Their solution? Build something strong enough
to outlast both denim trends and divorce lawyers.

The brand as a whole is sustainably minded, steeped in attitude, and
inspired by activists, icons, and certified badasses. With three
decades of combined corporate fashion experience, Freeman and
Maglich knew they didn’t want another empty mission statement.
Instead, Alimony was founded with wit, grit, and the very real
commitment to put their money where their mouth is—giving a
portion of profits to human rights focused charities.

At its core, Alimony is a love letter (and maybe a warning letter) to
women everywhere—celebrating the legacy they own while
supporting the future they deserve.
